Brittney B. Horstman
Attorney

Brittney Horstman graduated magna cum laude from Texas Christian University in 1999 with a BA degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice.  While at TCU, Ms. Horstman was an active advocate on behalf of the Gladney Center, a non-profit organization specializing in domestic and international adoptions, where she spoke at universities, high schools, and public events.  In 1997, Ms Horstman was selected to spend a semester in Washington D.C. as an intern at the Alliance for Justice, working on a national campaign to raise awareness regarding inequalities in the access to the justice system. 
 
Brittney Horstman attended Northeastern School of Law and graduated cum laude in 2002.  During her time at Northeastern University, she served as a Certified Legal Intern for the Massachusetts Office of the Public Defender where she practiced in misdemeanor and felony courts and tried a felony rape case to verdict. She was a clerk for Judge Peter Agnes in the Massachusetts Superior Court and an intern at the Law Officers of Stern, Shapiro, Weisberg, and Garin, where she dealt with issues pertaining to medical malpractice and negligence suits as well as criminal matters. 

Upon graduation, Ms. Horstman spent three years at the Miami Dade Public Defenders Office where she tried over 20 cases, 19 to verdict.  In 2006 she entered private practice where she has tried both state and federal cases in South Florida. She has appeared before courts, both state and federal, throughout Florida as well as other states.  In 2007, she joined Kubiliun & Associates where she has focused on federal white collar defense as well as civil rights and state criminal defense. 

Brittney Horstman is a member of The United States Southern District of Florida Bar, The United States Middle District of Florida Bar, The Florida Bar, The Eastern District of Michigan Bar, The District of Columbia Bar, the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, the Florida Associates of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Women’s Chamber of Commerce, and the American Bar Association.  Ms. Horstman has served as a lecturer in the area of criminal justice and in the area of private adoptions.
